I have a PD1201B Portable player that is ~~[u]~~BRAND NEW[/u].

I first took it out of the sealed package the last week of August 2018 - charged it the appropriate time and I watched two DVD movies on the player.

I again charged the player last week and I took the player with me last Friday in my RV.

I watched one movie on the player on the night of Friday, September 28.

I was watching another movie on the player a day later on Saturday, September 29 and the player stopped playing 2/3s of the way through the movie.

I figured the player needed charging. So, I charged it fully on Sunday, September 30.

Now, when I put a DVD in the player, the player shows that it is loading but it does not eventually show the play movie screen.

I cannot play a DVD on it.

I tried cleaning the lens and that did not solve the problem.

What can I do?

Is the unit defective?

Can I mail it to you to test it?

I just watched 3 and 2/3s movies on it!

I have thoroughly read the PD1201B manual.

I have done many Google searches on troubleshooting a DVD player that will not play.

I am grossly disappointed.

Please tell me what to do.

Hi,

First,this phenomenon may be caused by the movement of the movement.Please move the movement left and right two times(shown as picture), and carefully check whether there is any foreign matter blocking the movement .Secondly,the movement may be broken,and you can send email to customer services(suokesi2015@gmail.com) to replace the movement.It is sorry for the inconvenience caused therefrom to you.

Hi, our tv/dvd player wont load dvds all of a sudden. Has anyone else had this problem and what can we do to fix it.

just wondered how criterion forum members battle overscan... anyone know of any dvd players still in production that handle overscan with incremental zoom?

Does any player other than Malata have the incremental zoom feature? I am afraid to invest in Malata for two reasons. It cannot be serviced easily if something goes wrong, and people have said it is glitchy

yes... turns out that there are copies of the PP files in both the program files folder and the programdata folderwhich is normally hidden i was saving the wrong one
